Pack 253 has family camping opportunities all year round!

Cub Scout family camping offers a fantastic opportunity for both scouts and parents to bond, learn new skills, enjoy the outdoors together, and socialize with other families. We typically have one campout in the fall and one in the spring at nearby locations like Long Hunter State Park and Boxwell Scout Reservation. Campouts are Friday evening through Sunday morning. 

What does it look like?

The pack will have a few group campsites where families pitch their own tent amongst other families. The pack provides the food and cooking equipment. Families take turns cooking meals for everyone. It's a great opportunity for scouts to help too!

What do you need?

Families bring a tent, bedding, and camp chairs for themselves. The pack has a selection of tents for families as well. Reach out to your den leader for more information.
